In his work, Ian Garner shows how Russia has transformed into a fascist state, where young Russians are raised in the spirit of chauvinism and have been consistently subjected to increasingly aggressive indoctrination by the state for years. This is a very important book for anyone who wants to better understand changes taking place in Russia. The book has been translated and published in Poland under the title "Za Putina. Mroczny portret fascistowych słów w Rosji" (Prześwity, 2023).
The meeting will be in English. The conversation will be led by Dr Michał Woźniak.
Ian Garner is an Assistant Professor at the Pilecki Institute, Warsaw. He received his PhD from the Slavic Department at the University of Toronto (Canada) in 2017, where he wrote his doctoral thesis on the myth of the Battle of Stalingrad.
